Beazer's Garden Afterschool
For 26 years, we have guided students of all ages in learning about our interdependent connection to nature.
Our Environmental Science and Garden enrichment workshops provide students with hands-on activities to learn about their role in ecology while they learn to know and grow healthy and delicious fruits, veggies, and herbs!
With an emphasis on learning and having fun, we offer interesting, age-appropriate learning activities that help kids discover how nature works and inspire them to lead healthy and happy lives.
Our Curriculum Approach
Gardening programs grow more than plants, they grow healthy and aware future leaders and citizens of the world.
- Activities are aligned with the Common Core Standards and rich in academic connections to science, social studies, math, language arts, nutrition, physical fitness, and creative arts!
- Our activities support social-emotional growth as students learn in a relaxed atmosphere with their peers and caring educators.
- Students build practical skills, work with their hands, and move their bodies as they perform actual garden tasks.
Our goal is to:
- Provide families with a reliable resource for after-school care.
- Provide a safe, educationally productive environment for students to learn foundational skills in ecology-related subjects.
- Help students develop healthy, trusting relationships, and build self-confidence in their abilities.
